SIP 07628 8" Professional Bench Grinder

I like it a lot. I need to balance the wheels a bit, but they are not too bad straight out of the box. Some people buy these bench grinders and because they vibrate they think they are not working properly. You need to set them up. Like I said mine is pretty good but one of the eye protectors vibrates so I need to fiddle with the position of the wheels. There are loads of videos showing you how to do this online. Undo the retaining nut, turn the grinding wheel a bit on the axle and do the nut back up. Not too tight, just firm. Repeat until you find the sweet spot. Do the same for the other side.
Looks well made, is pretty powerful, tool rests are a little flimsy but work fine. I am going to buy an aftermarket tool rest which fixes to the work bench. They are more adjustable and solid. Amazon sell a nice one but you can get the same thing a bit cheaper if you look around.
Only 4 stars as I haven't used it very much. I have sharpened a few things (a brick bolster and a few drills and an old flat head screwdriver) it worked really well, it is a nice bit of kit, looks good too... Just what I needed for my mancave

Well powered sturdy bench grinder

Seems well made and is fitted with a NVR switch out of the box which is a nice feature.
Runs smooth and supplied with wire wheel.
I was going to buy a similar sized Sealey machine, but I think this better value.
Too early to determine ultimate reliability, but initial impressions are positive.

Very powerful and extremely quiet once its up to speed. Solid build, should last forever!
